Harrahs Grand Casino Biloxi to Reopen

Harrah's Entertainment, Inc. has announced that the Grand Casino Biloxi Hotel and Spa will reopen on August 17, 2006, awaiting the acknowledgement of all necessary regulatory approvals.

Anthony Sanfilippo, Harrah's Central Division president, said that the Grand Casino Biloxi Hotel and Spa is back in business after the one year renovation.

The newly renovated land based casino offers twenty eight table games and more than eight hundred slot machines.

The hotel has five hundred rooms, three hundred seater Grand Buffet, Starbucks and Bellissimo Spa.

Sanfilippo said that the hotel casino is looking forward to contribute to the tourism industry of the town and they are eager to see their employees back at work

The hotel casino had almost filled hiring the one thousand five hundred employees of which ninety five percent of them had previously worked with the other Grand properties.

The former assistant general manager of Grand Gulfport, Karen Sock, is now serving as the senior vice president and general manager of Grand Biloxi.

Harrah's Entertainment, Inc had started at Reno Nevada in 1968 in providing casino entertainment through operating subsidiaries.

The opening of Grand Biloxi will mark the first phase of the master plan of Harrah's Entertainment for the Mississippi Gulf Coast.
